Prototyping process

Iterative collaboration and AI-driven prototyping

I established a fast feedback loop with researchers, I using AI prototyping with sample datasets to test visualizations. And Through continuous iteration, I refined both the UX and the visualization structure before scaling to full datasets.

Reflection

Building a research ready tool
This project stretched me as both a designer and a systems thinker. I learned to turn large, complex datasets into clear, user-centered visualization flows and built an AI-supported workflow that helped me ideate and iterate faster.

A key takeaway was the power of “fake data first” prototyping. Using realistic sample data early revealed edge cases and sped up validation. The project ultimately produced a fully functional internal tool now used in real research, reinforcing the value of scalable design and designing with data from the start.
